Write prompts that work
A simple structure for prompts that give you what you pictured the first time.
Steps
Step 1: Start with the subject
Name the main thing and what it is doing: "an elderly fisherman mending a net". One clear subject beats three vague ones.
Step 2: Add the setting
Where and when: "on a wooden jetty at dawn, mist over the water". Time of day does a lot of work for mood and light.
Step 3: Choose the look
Say how it should be made: "35 mm film photo", "watercolour illustration", "clean studio product shot". Or pick a style chip and let Inkwisp add it for you.
Step 4: Describe camera and light
Framing and lighting are the difference between a snapshot and a shot: "close-up, shallow depth of field, warm rim light".
Step 5: Put text in quotes
If the image needs words, write them in quotes and say where: a sign that reads "OPEN LATE". GPT Image 2 and Nano Banana Pro are the strongest at typography.
Step 6: Iterate one change at a time
Change one part of the prompt per run so you can see what made the difference. Use Enhance prompt when you want Wisp to fill in detail for you.
Tips
- Describe what you want, not what you don’t want. Models that support a negative prompt show it under Advanced.
- Prompts can be up to 4,000 characters, in any language.
