Getting started
Create your first image
From an empty prompt to four finished images, and where to find them afterwards.
Steps
Step 1: Open Create Image
Choose Create Image in the sidebar, or type your idea into the composer on Home. The creation panel opens on the left and your Library on the right.
Step 2: Keep the default model
Nano Banana 2 is a fast, faithful all-rounder. You can switch later from the model card; every model shows what it is best at and its "from ◈" price.
Step 3: Describe the picture
Say what you want to see, where it is and how it is lit: "A fox asleep in a snowy forest, soft morning light." Short, concrete sentences work better than lists of keywords.
Step 4: Set the shape and size
Open the Output card and pick an aspect ratio (1:1 for a post, 9:16 for a story, 16:9 for a banner) and a resolution. Then set the count; each image is priced separately.
Step 5: Check the price and generate
The button reads Generate · ◈ N: that is exactly what the run costs. Press it, or press Ctrl + Enter (⌘ + Enter on a Mac). Placeholder tiles appear at the top of your Library and fill in as the images arrive.
Step 6: Keep the best one
Open an image to see it large with its prompt and settings. Star it, move it into a folder, download it, or choose Recreate to run the same settings again.
Tips
- You can close the tab: generations keep running and wait for you in the Library.
- If a run fails, the credits come back automatically and the tile says Credits returned.
