Animate a still with Frame to Video

Turn an image you love into a short clip that keeps its look.

4 minBeginnerFrame to Video

Steps

  1. Step 1: Pick a start frame

Open Frame to Video and choose a start frame, or use Animate on any image in your Library. Video tools need Sketch or above.

  2. Step 2: Describe the motion

Say what moves and how: "the fox lifts its head and yawns, snow drifting slowly". The frame already shows what things look like.

  3. Step 3: Add an end frame (optional)

Models with the Start/End chip can travel from your start frame to an end frame you choose. Great for reveals and transformations.

  4. Step 4: Set length, resolution and sound

The Output card sets aspect, resolution and duration; Auto aspect follows your frame. Turn Audio on for models that make native sound. Video is priced per second, and the button shows the total.

Tips

  • Start at 480p or 720p while you find the motion, then re-run the winner at a higher resolution.
  • To keep going, open the finished clip, use Grab frame on the last frame, and animate again from there.
